Our structure can be surrounded by wood or steel studs to allow a professional installation of drywall, finished with custom paint. Our paint recommendation is Sico Evolution Tough, Resilient Finish Ultra Scrubbable Eggshell. The model room uses the colour Coastal Breeze.

A gorgeous 100% waterproof frame ensures durability, while insulated low-E glass offers energy efficiency. Custom handles and keyless entry for easy access.

MakeRoom
How do I get my MakeRoom delivered?
You are welcome to manage the pickup and delivery of your container, but we recommend that our trusted network of delivery experts manages this on your behalf. We will take care of everything for you, and ensure that your container arrives safely on your property as promised.
Delivery costs include your distance from our Ontario production facility, complications to get to the site, crane requirements and time of year.
Am I allowed to have a mobile MakeRoom unit on my property?
Great question! We can certainly assist with some preliminary work to point you in the right direction, but you will likely need permission from your local building authorities. Often this is your local municipality’s by-law department. They will help to walk you through how to get your site ready for a MakeRoom shipping container.
You will also need a solid foundation for your MakeRoom to site, as well as an electrician to ensure that you properly and safely connect to your property’s electrical system.
Do you do custom modifications?
Yes! Please request these, and we will work with you to ensure your dream MakeRoom comes to life.
What size of containers do you modify?
Currently, we use only 8’x20’ containers, but if you really want a larger space, reach out and let’s talk.
I have an idea! Can you help to design and produce it for me?
Yes, we can help. There will be extra costs for these services, but we aim to please.
What colours do MakeRoom studios come in?
We can help you with a custom colour, or you can choose a standard colour.
How long will my MakeRoom last?
This greatly depends on the weather and ground conditions of its site. Many containers can last over 20 years with very little maintenance. Every MakeRoom unit is made from a one-trip ‘new’ shipping container.
Do you offer financing or have a payment schedule?
We can connect you with local financing options that meet your needs. We request 50% upfront and the remaining balance due upon delivery.
How long will it take for my container to be completed?
Depending on the complexity of the modifications you choose is dependent on the time it will take to create your room! A typical MakeRoom takes around two months to complete.
